Dates: every Wednesday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., from May 3 to October 28, nature hike through the Wimbachtal as an eventful journey through 250 million years of geological history.

If the Corona rules allow, the hike will also be carried out with only 1 or 2 guests.
Take a deep sea walk 2,000 m below sea level.
Find out why Berchtesgaden was once a part of Africa and was later run over by glaciers.
Discover that Berchtesgaden is surrounded by former tropical beaches, which are now surprisingly at lofty heights.
The hike is led by a geologist.

Meeting point: Wimbachbrücke car park, at the National Park information point, Wimbachweg 2 83486 Ramsau. From the Berchtesgaden train station, take the 846 bus in the direction of Ramsau
Distance: 4 km, approx. 300 meters in altitude, the hike ends at Wimbachschloss, where you can stop for refreshments, separate way back

A city tour with exciting insights into the history of Berchtesgaden.
Dates: all year round every Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and by arrangement.

The first monks arrived here over 900 years ago and founded a monastery that shaped the further development over the centuries. The entertaining, lively tour offers many anecdotes, for example about facades that monkeys romp about, about prisons without doors and about how Hitler's car changed Berchtesgaden.

Discover furthermore the fascinating history of the former wooden brine pipelines, one of the most astonishing works of the art of engineering of its time.

Meeting point is at the "Schlossplatz" in front of the "Stiftskirche", Schlossplatz 2, 83471 Berchtesgaden.
Booking beforehand until 8 p.m. of the evening before is required. T
he distance one-way is 2 km, however including a steeper ascent mainly on stairs (around 80 meters of elevation gain).

The herb garden, the Gesundheitsgartl, is open for visits every Friday from 3 p.m. The tour is free of charge, guided tours take place by arrangement.

Barbara Spindler, kindergarten teacher with training in herbal medicine, foot reflex zone offers a holistic approach to health-preserving and health-supporting measures. For this purpose, she offers lectures, seminars, workshops on herbal medicine, herbal tours or relaxation evenings for all ages, both on site and outside.
 
And because many herbs in the fields have become rare or are not native to our area, she has created her own herb garden around her newly built, inviting house in the form of a small square courtyard. Over 90 herbs - including meadow herbs - have already been planted there.
