On the Wednesdays 20th and 27th of February and on the 6th of March 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: On animals' trails – a hike from the national park information point Hintersee on wintry trails to the wildlife feeding in Klausbachtal.

Especially in winter the trails of many local animals can be discovered easily, because they show their presence with footprints and feeding patterns. A member of the staff of the national park will support you with the tracking and explain you more about the biotope of the animals and the strategies that help them to survive the winter.

Average physical fitness, warm and weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes are required.

The meeting point is at 11 a.m. at the national park information point Hintersee, Hirschbichlstraße 26, Ramsau.

On the Wednesdays 13th and 27th of February and on Wednesday, 10th of April 2019, each time from 9 a.m. to around 2 p.m.: Hiking in the montaineer village Ramsau!

From the bridge Neuhausenbrücke in Ramsau the route leads to a well-known motif with the church of Ramsau. Then we will continue to the pilgrimage church at Kunterweg, to the Bindenkreuz, up to the viewpoint Wartstein and around lake Hintersee. After a little refreshment we will cross the forest Zauberwald and walk past the ice springs on the way back to Ramsau.

Please bring gloves, a woolly hat, mountain or hiking boots, change of clothes and something to drink. Average physical fitness is required.

On Saturdays from the 2nd of February until the 9th of March 2019, 11 a.m.: Red deer in winter – a hike from the national park information point "Hintersee" on wintry trails to the game feeding in the valley Klausbachtal.

From late autumn on red deer cannot find food on the snow-covered mountains any more and therefore moves down the valley. On this hike you will learn a lot about the way of life of red deer and, with a bit of luck, you will have the possibility to watch these usually very shy animals.

The hike takes around 3 hours. Sturdy shoes, warm and weatherproof clothing and average physical fitness are required. Meeting point is the national park information point "Hintersee" ("Nationalpark-Infostelle Hintersee"), Hirschbichlstraße 26, Ramsau.

Experience the unique and untouched winter landscape of the national park Berchtesgaden in snow boots! No previous experiences are necessary to enjoy the adventure of a guided snow boot hike. The tours are organized according to the needs of the participants.

The snow boot hikes take around 4 hours with a break, if possible in a mountain hut with a local flavour. Snow boots of the brand "tubbs" and telescope poles are included.

Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (except for holidays) until the 26th of April 2019: Ten minutes to ten in the information and training centre "Haus der Berge" ("House of the Mountains") in Berchtesgaden!

What do the national park Berchtesgaden and the Wild West have in common? What is the "Vertikale Wildnis" ("vertical wilderness")? On this tour you will get answers to exciting questions – and much more: If you visit the exhibition on your own, there is no better introduction!

The meeting point is at 9.50 a.m. in the "Haus der Berge", foyer, Hanielstraße 7, Berchtesgaden. The tour lasts around thirty minutes and the maximum number of participants is thirty. Also suitable for persons with difficulties in walking! The tour is included in the entrance fee for the exhibition "Vertikale Wildnis".

Until the 30th of April 2019: Special exhibition in a small format – the "Porsche Traumwerk" in Anger presents the sports car legend and its big history in a small format.

Look forward to see legendary Porsche models, including rarities and exotic ones, in various miniature formats. The models are presented in 13 thematically organized display cabinets. Furthermore, you can look at an impressive Porsche photo collection and for sure a few 70-year-anniversary surprises are hidden on the model railway construction.

The exhibition opens from Tuesdays to Sundays and on holidays from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. On Mondays (except for holidays) the "Porsche Traumwerk" remains closed.

All year round on Mondays and Saturdays from 9:45 am to 11:45 am in Ramsau: "Wondrous forest whispers"!

The secrets of plants: what do they know, how do they smell and feel, and what do they remember? What messages do trees send each other? What are the herbs whispering?

During a hike through the enchanted forest to the Hintersee we get to know the language of plants: It is only recently that science has begun to understand it.

The hike is led by a biologist.

Distance: 2.5 km through the magic forest and around the Hintersee

Pre-registration required by 8 p.m. the previous evening.
