Enjoy a panoramic view on Berchtesgaden and the surrounding mountains, learn more about the history of the place and the geological development of the Alps of Berchtesgaden. Discover furthermore the fascinating history of the former wooden brine pipelines, one of the most astonishing works of the art of engineering of its time.
Meeting point is at the "Schlossplatz" in front of the "Stiftskirche", Schlossplatz 2, 83471 Berchtesgaden. Booking beforehand until 8 p.m. of the evening before is required. The distance one-way is 2 km, however including a steeper ascent mainly on stairs (around 80 meters of elevation gain).
