From the tropical beach to the edge of the glacier

Dates: every Wednesday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., from May 3 to October 28, nature hike through the Wimbachtal as an eventful journey through 250 million years of geological history.

If the Corona rules allow, the hike will also be carried out with only 1 or 2 guests.
Take a deep sea walk 2,000 m below sea level.
Find out why Berchtesgaden was once a part of Africa and was later run over by glaciers.
Discover that Berchtesgaden is surrounded by former tropical beaches, which are now surprisingly at lofty heights.
The hike is led by a geologist.

Meeting point: Wimbachbrücke car park, at the National Park information point, Wimbachweg 2 83486 Ramsau. From the Berchtesgaden train station, take the 846 bus in the direction of Ramsau
Distance: 4 km, approx. 300 meters in altitude, the hike ends at Wimbachschloss, where you can stop for refreshments, separate way back
Notes: average level of fitness, sturdy shoes required

Costs: € 15 per person, children (10-15) half price plus € 2.50 entry for the Wimbachklamm.
